Setup

Notifier watches tables for changes and delivers the news as a message to the triggering user, an email, a note on the record, a webhook call, or a Microsoft Teams card. Turn the engine on here, then define what to watch and whom to tell under VDVN Notification Rules— or let the Rule Template Wizard create working example rules for you.

Rules List

Each rule watches one table for one event and delivers a message through one channel. Open a rule to set up its filters, message, and recipients — only enabled rules run.

Rule configuration

Work from top to bottom: choose what to watch, narrow it with filters, pick a channel, write the message, and add recipients. Then use Test Notification to try the rule before enabling it.

Log Entries

Every notification attempt ends here, successful or failed. Failed entries carry the error message — use Show Error. Entries older than the retention period in VDVN Notification Setup are deleted automatically.
